Volunteer Opportunity for 2008 USGA Girls Junior Championship

The 2008 USGA Girls Junior Championship is being held at The Hartford Golf Club, Hartford, CT, starting Friday, July 18 through Saturday, July 26.

This event will be bringing 156 young women under 18 to Hartford from all around the world. Many of these young ladies have won numerous tournaments while honing their games and earning a place in this Championship. They are the rising stars in the golf world!

The coordination of this event is mammoth, and they need our help. Download the volunteer application or apply online at: www.2008usgirlsjunior.org. Pick the days you'd like to volunteer. Even a single day helps make this tournament special for everyone. You'll have the chance to watch the future Annika Sorenstam or Paula Creamer in the making!

Ratings of Sterling Farms GC Tees for Women

From the Red Tees--73.3 / 124 (Front: 36.9 / 121; Back: 36.3 / 126). These tees will continue to be used as the Club's official tournament tees (unless explicitly defined otherwise).

From the new Gold Tees--73.4 / 125 (Front: 37.2/123; Back: 36.2/126)

From the White Tees--75.1 / 134 (Front: 37.9 / 135; Back: 37.2 / 133)

Note: the ratings for the Red and White tees, as well as the Gold tees are now in the club computer and the GHIN system. The RED tees will remain the default posting tees in the system. As necessary, change your tee box selection to post from a different set of tees.

Note, you must post all scores from all tees during in-season play.
